Our Warranty for a Lifetime

At Kate & Kole, we believe in creating jewellery that stands the test of time—not only in style but in durability. Our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship is reflected in our warranty, designed to partner with you in preserving your treasured pieces.

Fine Jewellery Warranty

At Kate & Kole, we take great pride in the craftsmanship and integrity of our jewellery. Each piece is designed with the utmost care and attention to detail, ensuring that it should last a lifetime when properly cared for. However, as with all fine jewellery, specific care is essential to keep your treasured pieces in perfect condition.

To match the quality of our products, we provide a complimentary 3 month warranty, with the option to extend this to 12 months for a small fee should you find fault in your piece. Please note: the warranty is void if any repairs or modifications are made to your piece that are not performed by Kate & Kole.

We understand that your jewellery holds deep sentimental value, and we know how devastating it can be when a stone falls out or a piece becomes damaged. Please know that we are always here to help. Your trust in our brand is valued deeply at Kate & Kole, and our warranties and repair services are our way of honouring that trust. While some repairs may involve a fee, we view this as an opportunity to continue our relationship with you and your jewellery, ensuring that it truly lasts a lifetime.

We deeply appreciate honesty when it comes to repairing or assessing your jewellery. If your piece has been damaged, please let us know what happened. This allows us to provide the best care and make any necessary improvements to suit your lifestyle. Our jewellers have decades of experience and can often tell if a piece has been mistreated, so transparency is always appreciated. This helps us give your piece the attention it deserves and keeps your jewellery in optimal condition.

JEWELLERY CARE

Kate & Kole are not responsible for any tarnishing caused by the jewellery coming into contact with substances such as sulphur, cosmetic products, chlorine, perfume and acidic skin pH. Tarnishing occurs to all metals over time however, these substances will cause the tarnishing reaction to occur much faster. Tarnishing due to these reasons are not covered under our warranty

Chains are often susceptible to damage from everyday wear, especially if they are slept in or tugged on. Unfortunately, our lifetime warranty cannot cover this type of use. To avoid this, we recommend removing your chains before going to bed and taking care not to tug on them during wear. For increased durability we would recommend choosing our cable chain over our diamond curb chain.

Rhodium Plating

Rhodium plating is what gives white gold its beautiful, bright finish. Over time, this plating can wear down and will need to be reapplied. While our warranty does not cover rhodium plating, we recommend bringing your piece to us for regular reapplication to keep it looking pristine. This is available to purchase here.

Flush-Set Stones

Flush-set stones, while beautiful and sleek, can be temperamental. Regular hand washing can force soap and water beneath the stone, which can increase the chances of it falling out. We recommend bringing your piece in for annual checks to ensure that the stones remain secure. Book an appointment with us here to have your jewellery checked and cleaned.

Gold Quality & Resizing

At Kate & Kole, we use a generous amount of gold in our pieces, which allowing us to re-polish them as needed. Our ring bands are crafted thick enough to withstand daily wear without easily becoming damaged. Occasionally a point of weakness can occur in the band if resizing reoccurs. Don’t worry—repairs are easy to achieve, but it’s something to keep in mind when considering resizing.

Wear & Tear or loss

Kate & Kole are not responsible for and wear & tear, accidental damage or loss of a piece.

Engagement Ring Warranty

At Kate & Kole, we've always believed that our engagement rings are the very best representation of our brand. With this in mind, we've created a complimentary all inclusive 12 month warranty and an optional 36 month warranty available for purchase.

In addition to these we also have a lifetime warranty that reflects our commitment to excellence and to you.

Our lifetime warranty includes these promises:

  • Your ring is crafted to maintain its shape. It shouldn’t bend or warp with regular wear.
  • The stone in your ring is securely set. It should sit perfectly in its setting, just as intended.
  • In the event of scratches or dents, our in-house jewellers are skilled in making improvements, restoring the beauty of your ring.
  • We are here to assist you in cleaning and caring for your diamond, ensuring it continues to sparkle.
  • Should your ring require resizing, our experts are on hand to adjust the size while maintaining its integrity.
  • If the claws holding your stone are compromised for any reason, we will work with you to repair or replace the setting, ensuring your diamond is always secure.
  • In the unlikely event that your diamond falls out due to a manufacturing fault, we will replace the stone.

These promises are our assurance to you that every Kate & Kole ring is backed by a warranty that honours our craftsmanship and your trust in us.

We design our engagement rings with durability in mind. The settings are meticulously crafted and should not fail under normal wear. However, we still recommend regular checks of your setting. When you bring your engagement ring in for cleaning or re-rhodium, we will happily inspect it to ensure everything is secure and in perfect condition. Book in your clean here.

Terms & Conditions

Insurance

We strongly recommend that you consider obtaining independent insurance on all pieces of jewellery with precious stones to protect your investment in the event that you are not covered by our jewellery warranty that is set out below.

Precious Stone Warranty

All precious stones are guaranteed for the first 6 months from the date of delivery (“Warranty Period”). If a precious stone falls out of the piece within the Warranty Period we will replace it for you. In order to claim this warranty, you must send an email to info@kateandkole.com.au with the following information:

  • Email Subject: “Warranty Claim”;
  • Provide a copy of your invoice or provide your order number;
  • and Provide clear photographs of the precious stone and ring.

Once we have received your Warranty Claim, we will assess your claim within 10 business days and provide confirmation of the outcome of your Warranty Claim.

A Warranty Claim will be accepted if:

  • the claim complies with the steps set out above;
  • and the damage was not caused by misuse, abuse, fair wear and tear or unauthorised alterations or modifications.

If the Warranty Claim is outside of the Warranty Period we can work with you to organise a replacement stone and repair. If the piece and the precious stones has been damaged due to wear and tear we can work with you to replace the stone. Please note that any Warranty Claim outside of the Warranty Period will be dealt with on a case by case basis and in our discretion.

Fine/Custom Jewellery

For our cast pieces we offer a 3 month warranty from the date of delivery on any breaks. In order to claim the warranty please follow the steps outlined above.

A Warranty Claim will be accepted if:

  • the claim complies with the steps set out above;
  • and the damage was not caused by misuse, abuse, fair wear and tear or unauthorised alterations or modifications.
Warranty Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied into these terms and conditions is hereby excluded.

Governing Law

These terms of service are governed by the laws in force in New South Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
